Meeting with the Secretary General of the World Meteorological Organization

On May 27, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin held a meeting with the Secretary General of the World Meteorological Organization Celeste Saulo.

At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of monitoring processes related to climate change, as well as joint initiatives in this area.

Special attention was paid to the upcoming International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation. The parties emphasized the importance of this event for raising awareness of the international community and finding joint solutions for preserving the glacial resources of the region.
