Meeting with the Co-Chair of the Tajik-Moldovan Intergovernmental Commission

On September 29, 2026, in Chisinau, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Farrukh Homiddin Sharifzoda and State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization of the Republic of Moldova, Co-Chair of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Moldova, Cristina Ceban.

The sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of trade and economic cooperation, expansion of business contacts, increasing trade volumes, investment promotion, and the effective use of existing opportunities to bring economic cooperation between the two countries to a new level.

Particular attention was paid to the activities of the Intergovernmental Commission as an important mechanism for coordinating economic cooperation, as well as preparations for its next meeting and the identification of priority areas for further cooperation.

The meeting also addressed the development of the digital economy, digitalisation of public services, exchange of experience, and expansion of cooperation in the scientific and technical fields.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue constructive dialogue, strengthen trade and economic ties, and make effective use of the potential of the Intergovernmental Commission to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
