Participation of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in the IAEA Scientific Forum

On September 15, 2026, in Vienna, in the framework of the 70th session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mrs. Nigina Alizoda participated and delivered a statement at the Scientific Forum “Rays of Hope: Delivering on the Promise of Cancer Care”.

The Deputy Minister briefed the participants on Tajikistan’s achievements in the field of radiotherapy and oncology, as well as on the progress of cooperation within the framework of Tajikistan’s National Programme with the IAEA for 2025–2030.

Furthermore, the readiness of the Tajik side for the exchange of best practices and the expansion of international partnership to develop modern, safe, and accessible oncological care was emphasized. It was noted that Tajikistan’s experience is fully aligned with the “Rays of Hope” initiative, which aims to ensure equitable access of the population to quality specialized medical services.
