Asfa Holding Board Chairman, Philanthropist and Businessman Asaf Atasoy, published a message on the occasion of May 14 World Farmers Day.

Asfa Holding Board Chairman Asaf Atasoy included the following statements in his message;

In accordance with a decision taken by the International Federation of Agricultural Producers (IFAD) in 1984, May 14 is celebrated as “World Farmers Day” in our country, as in all modern countries.

All of our farmers, who knead the soil with their labor, who do not refrain from sweating throughout the seasons, who make great efforts in every blessing that comes to our table and who transform their labor into production, are at the forefront of those who work hard and sweat in the development of our country, the growth of our economy and the production of every blessing that reaches our tables.

The labor of our farmers who earn their living from the land, who add value to the product they get from the land and deliver it to us is sacred. In recent years, very successful work has been carried out in the field of agriculture in our country and our agricultural sector has shown significant growth.

The founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, stated that the agricultural sector is the cornerstone of our country’s economy with the words, “The foundation of the national economy is agriculture.” The development of agriculture and animal husbandry in our province is of great importance to us. In this context, our efforts to support investments in agriculture and animal husbandry in our province continue to increase every year.

On this occasion; I congratulate all our farmers on “May 14 World Farmers Day”, I wish that every product produced by our farmers will be fruitful and profitable, I wish them healthy and happy days with their family members.
