On September 29, 2025, the latest round of political consultations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was held in Dushanbe.

The delegation of Tajikistan was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Farrukh Sharifzoda, and the delegation of Pakistan was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Syed Asad Ali Gilani.

The sides discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, the implementation of high-level agreements, as well as pressing regional and international issues.

The consultations were held in a constructive atmosphere and in the spirit of understanding. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Pakistan.
